Ballard Adobes Vineyard, Los Olivos District
The 2023 “Whole-Cluster” Syrah comes from Ballard Adobes Vineyard in the Los Olivos District of Ballard Canyon. Farmed organically, this site benefited from the slightly cooler vintage, allowing us to ferment the fruit with 100% whole cluster to amplify structure, spice, and aromatic complexity to the wine. The wine was aged for 18 months in French oak (50% new) to build depth while preserving the character of the vineyard, and bottled unfined and unfiltered to maintain purity and texture.
2023 Koehler ‘Whole-Cluster’ Syrah- Coming from the Ballard Adobes Vineyard, this 100% whole-cluster fermented Syrah delivers concentrated dark fruits on the palate, with tar, green peppercorns, bulls blood and iodine notes alongside salty soil nuances.
