Nolan Ranch, Alisos Canyon
Lightly framed and energetic, the 2023 vintgage offers soft tannins, vibrant acidity, and a core of fresh red berries. Savory undertones add nuance and complexity, carrying through to a lifted, refined finish.
Sourced from the SIP certified Nolan Ranch, this Mencía underwent semi-carbonic fermentation in a closed-top tank to highlight the variety’s bright, lifted aromatics and vivid red fruit character. The wine was then aged for 16 months in French oak, 20% new, lending subtle structure and gentle spice without overshadowing its freshness.
James Suckling 93 This shows aromas of red and black fruit, Jolly Rancher candy, dried herbs and spices. The palate is fine, with firm yet integrated tannins, bright acidity and a long, minerally, mouthwatering finish. Good intensity of fruit matched with tension. Drink or hold.
