Our inaugural vintage of Mencia. This wine was made in the same spirit as our Pinot Noir. Medium-bodied with deep flavors of strawberry and raspberrry. A versatile wine to be enjoyed with meals. It can be laid down for years to come.
Wine Enthusiast 93 The quest to craft a Californian version of Mencia is very much on, and this is a solid stab. Dark cherry, sultry smoke and cinnamon-laced, curry-like spice aromas show on the nose. The palate is jammy with red fruit, spicy with pepper dust and cut by just enough texture and acidity. — Matt Kettmann
