Sourced from the steep, organically farmed hillside block of Coteau de Clair Vineyard. Fermented using native yeasts, with half the lot in neutral oak barrels and the other half in stainless steel. Aged on lees for eight months to enhance mouthfeel and complexity. Malolactic fermentation was inhibited to preserve the wine’s natural acidity and freshness. The result is an elegant and mouthwatering Grenache Blanc that clearly shows the character of its hillside vineyard.
James Suckling 91 Beeswax, lanolin and apricots, which give this plush wine a distinct feeling of ripeness. With aeration, honey-drizzled almonds emerge before a cantaloupe and white licorice finish. Drink or hold.
Cristaldi Score 92 A tropical-fruited, savory white that builds with notes of white peach, honeydew melon, and apricot, along with subtle poached-pear nuances that come into focus at mid-palate. The outstanding 2024 Koehler Grenache Blanc was stored neutral oak for eight months before bottling. This comes off rich and fat on the tongue, so don’t serve too cold.
