2023 Gamay
This is our first ever Gamay at Koehler, and it is super delicious and very easy to drink. The fruit was picked early to preserve acidity and the unique flavors of Gamay while also keeping the alcohol low. You'll find luscious flavors of pomegranate, watermelon, and white pepper with a hint of floral.
Picked the first week of October. Sorted and gently whole-berry destemmed; cap management with very gentle pump overs. Foot tread to preserve the berries, fermented for 10 days before being pressed. Aged on fine lees in neutral barrels for 6 months. Unfined and unfiltered.
