Grown on the estate from our 6-acre block of own-rooted vines planted in 1978. 100% destemmed, fermented in stainless steel. Free-run and press fractions separated. Aged in French oak barrels for 20 months. Bottled without fining or filtration.

The 40% new French oak really stands out on this bottling, and will likely become more intriguing as it more fully integrates with time. Aromas of cherry and boysenberry roasted over hardwood on the nose leads into a thick palate of leathery tannins, black plum and nutmeg flavors. Drink 2025–2035
